Bora Karip is the past director of a surgical clinic with an experience of more than 3000 Bariatric surgery procedures. The procedures are mainly laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and gastric by-pass. Dr. Karip not only treats the obesity by surgery but also performs endoscopic treatments like adjustable intragastric balloon treatment.

He has been performing surgery for obese patients more than 12 years. His main surgical interests are Bariatric surgery, gastric, colon and rectum surgery and proctology.

As a fellow for advanced Laparoscopic surgery training, he worked in gastrointestinal surgery department of Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty at 2013. He was attended an observership program for minimally invasive and robotic surgery in Cleveland Clinic, Ohio-US. He attended a program in Belgium to increase his experience of revisionary bariatric surgery after failed bariatric procedures at 2014.

Dr. Karip has numerous international and national articles on gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery, especially on sleeve gastrectomy and has a special interest in post-surgical weight regain, bariatric nutrition and it’s management.
